M04: Barren Rocks

Alexander MacKellarAden, a port city in Yemen, was administrated by Britain from 1839 until 1967 when it gained independence. Although there is some dispute about the authorship of the tune, Alexander McKellar (1824-1895) of Argyllshire, who became Pipe Major of the 78th Highlanders in 1854, insisted that every note was his own.
