Scottish folk and traditional music is peopled with hundreds, if not
thousands, of interesting people. Some superstars, some tiny people who
had maybe two seconds of fame fifty years ago. I'm fascinated by the
men and women who contributed in any way to Scotland's music, and in the
slight off chance that anyone else is also, I'm going to start a roll
call of these people. Any contributions welcome
(email me).
People will be listed under their surnames, unless they were known
primarily by their first names. Groups will be listed under their first
name: e.g. Silly Wizard will be found under "S". Duos will be
listed under both names.
I am grateful to Ian Lamb who lent me some of his personal archive of
writings about the folk scene in Angus, Perthshire and Fife from 1969-73.
