  Da Ferry Reel

Taken from the playing of Tom Anderson and Aly Bain, in a set comprising Da Ferry Reel, Lay Dee At Dee, and Miss Spence's Reel. The story goes that a fiddler was coming home from a wedding and had a rest. He heard the sounds of music and dancing coming from a hole in the ground and listened until he had learnt the tune. "Ferry" translates here as "fairy".

Set:   Da Ferry Reel/Lay Dee At Dee/Miss Spence's Reel.
