I transcribed this tune from the playing of Jim and Jesse McReynolds on the American bluegrass CD Mandolin Extravaganza, which was put together by David Grisman and features some of America's greatest mandolinists. Dixie Hoedown is a good-going bluegrass tune with some nice double-stopping in the B part. I don’t think it's tremendously difficult, so it may be a good opportunity to practise your pick direction.
