I've known this tune for many years, but I can't remember where I learned it. It was known to a few of the old fiddlers and banjo players such as J P Fraley, Frank Proffit, etc, and often has words:

I went up on the mountain
To give my horn a blow
And every girl in the countryside
Said yonder comes my beau.

This set is part of my Old Time Collection Collection of tunes; for others, check out the Old Time Collection Index
