Scratchy Noises 10:
Robert Burns played a very important part in preserving Scots folksong as a collector. He also expanded many song fragments into complete songs, and composed many more from scratch. For this reason the music associated with Burns is vast, and as well as countless recognisable tunes, there is a wealth of not-so-well known tunes.
My tenth Scratchy Noises Workshop had this music as its theme, and was held on 30th November 2014 at The Crowwood Hotel, just outside Glasgow. (The other half of the workshop looked at American Old Time music, details of which can be seen here.)
