The Cameron Men

The Cameron Men were brothers, William, James and George on fiddles, Stewart on piano. They recorded 8 sides for Beltona in May 1934, also issued as Honeyman's Fiddlers. James Cameron had recorded other releases, for Beltona and for Parlophone, and some duets with Jimmy Shand.

In 1931 William Cameron had a recording session for Edison Bell in London (c.Nov) along with the Reid family of Newtyle, Angus. Some solos, some with the Newtyle Trio, a Reid group: John Reid Snr (fiddle), John Reid Jr (pno), James Reid (clt). The Newtyle Orchestra seems to be the trio along with Mrs John Reid Snr on bass. The Reids made ten records in all at this session. The discography is based on the sources listed below.
