The Poetry of War
Crieff Arts Festival have published this book of poetry in tribute to anyone whose lives have been affected by war. Drawing mainly on the works of living poets from the Strathearn area, The Poetry of War has its roots in the 2017 Crieff Remembers festival. "One of the events last summer was a display of poetry in shop windows alongside photographs of men and women who lost their lives in the Great War," explains Nigel Gatherer, who has edited and designed the publication. "We received a lot of positive feedback from the public, especially people who recognised members of their own families. We then decided to extend and expand that part of Crieff Remembers into this book."
The book is dedicated to the memory of all who served, and all whose lives have been touched by war.

Irish music is played all over the world, but it's difficult to know what tunes to learn because they can vary from one session to another. In this collection I have tried to compile a list of "standard" Irish tunes: reels, jigs, etc, which are at least known by many who play in Irish sessions. It should give you the start of a repertoire which will stand you in good stead.
