Even though the world was in lockdown, I was busier than ever, doing workshops and classes online. This year's Uddingston Musicfest was such an event. The theme was "St Kilda," and the tunes we explored were associated with that island.
The first tune, St Kilda Song, came from Albyn's Anthology from 1816, and its proper title is Gur a thall an Soa. I transcribed A St Kilda Dance from a recording by William Jackson, and the final tune, St Kilda Reel, came from The Beauties of Gow (1819).
