| I got this tune from the playing of the Glasgow group Calisaig. I have also heard it played by the group Skippinish. It was composed by Pipe Major John MacLellan DCM of Dunoon in Argyll. He was in the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, and it probably dates from before the first world war (1914-18). MacLellan composed a few tunes which are still played today, such as Lochanside, Magersfonteign, Ballochyle, Heroes of Vittoria, and Shores of Argyll. | SMG Slow Session |
