Garster's Dream
Garster's Dream |
Jigs aren't that common in Shetland, but there are a few good ones. This
one was named after a Shetland fiddler called Garster who, while on his way
home from a wedding, laid down and fell asleep. He dreamt he heard fiddles
playing and remembered the tune when he awoke. That is how we have Garster's
Dream. I play this in the middle of a set comprising
Da Fields o' Foula
and Da Brig.
