  St Anne's Reel

There is quite a lot of confusion about the origins of this tune. It is played in sessions in Scotland, Ireland, New England, Canada, and other spots around the world, and it has been claimed as a Shetland tune, an Irish reel, a contra-dance tune, a French-Canadian and American old-time. My own feeling is that it is French-Canadian, but I cannot say for sure. One thing is plain: it's an extremely popular tune, and is always guaranteed to get everyone joining in.

There are different version of Saint Annes Reel, but this is the one that's mostly played in Scotland.
