Auchenblae

Auchenblae
This set is part of the following collections:

Music

Composed by the Rev Donald Rennie, originally in E flat. This setting is transcribed from the playing of the Aberdeenshire fiddler Carol Anderson (see video below) who, at aged 12, complained to Rennie that she couldn't play in flat keys (yet). He transposed it to D, and that’s what she's played ever since.

Auchenblae is a village in South Aberdeenshire near Laurencekirk.
