This is a carol from the Hebrides which in Gaelic is called Taladh Chriosda. It's a beautiful tune, and I have given three settings:
- The beautiful simplicity of the basic tune, in A.
- A decorated version, influenced by the singing of Cathal McConnell (see below), in A
- A more detailed setting with many of the decorations in Cathal McConnell's unique vocal style. In G.
