On the island of South Walls in Orkney lies a lifeboat station, open since 1874. In March 1969 the T.G.B. was launched in high seas and snows, but capsized and eight lives were lost. This tune was composed by Orcadian fiddler Ronnie Aim(1919-1982) in honour of the fallen lifeboatmen.
