Black Eyed Susie

Black Eyed Susie

This tune is part of the following collections:
Music

The popular old time tune stems from, according to some research, a 16th century tune called Rosasolis, a Morris dance tune called Morris Off, a Scottish tune called Three Jolly Sheep Skins, and an Irish tune under the name Alas My Little Bag. In the US, one of the earliest recordings - in 1939 - was from fiddler John Hatcher of Mississippi.

This set is part of my Old Time Collection Collection of tunes; for others, check out the Old Time Collection Index.
