Composed by Harry Warren with lyrics by Johnny Mercer, Jeepers Creepers was written for the 1938 film Going Places. In the movie Louis Armstrong sings the song to a racehorse called Jeepers Creepers (see video below). Armstrong also released a recording of it in 1939.
