This arrangement of a 13th Century English tune is based on the way guitarist John Renbourn (1944-2015) played it on his album The Black Balloon (1979). He "severly modified" the melody, and I have arranged it for mandolin. On the recording he plays it with open G tuning, but he capoed it on the 2nd fret, so it comes out in A.
