| The "wee room" is supposed to have been in Quin's Bar in Springburn, Glasgow, and the lyrics were composed by a Daniel McLaughlin. The tune can be heard in an old Laurel and Hardy film with the words "Down in the forest, under the trees..." For anyone who doesn't know the words of the Scots version, they can be seen here. |
