Flett from Flotta with Loch Ruan:

Flett from Flotta was named for a piper, William Arnot Flett from the island of Flett in Orkney. Like the composer of the tune (P.M. Donald MacLeod), Flett was in the Seaforth Highlanders. Flotta is a small island in Orkney.

Gairsay was composed by W R "Ronnie" Aim, who was leader of the Orknet Strathspey and Reels society.
