The Peat Fire Flame with Island Dance:
The Peat Fire Flame with The Arran Boat Song:

The Peat Fire Flame is the air to a "tramping song" and was collected by Marjory Kennedy-Fraser in about 1920 from a tune played on a chanter by Malcolm Johnson of Barra.

Island Dance was the name that Mull accordionist Bobby MacLeod gave to this ubiquitous tune. It can also be found as Donal Don, MacGregor's Gathering and Chan 'eil mo Leannan a' Seo, amongst others. My colleague Finlay Allison calls it Hebridean.

This set and other Scottish session tunes can be found in The Scottish Slow Session Volume 1, available from my Online Store.
