Bossa Nova is a style of samba developed in Brazil during the late 1950s. Features include unconventional chords and syncopation. Prominent artists were Joao Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Sergio Mendes. Comecou de Brincadeira translates as "it started as a joke," and Razao de Viver means "reason for living".
