When the then Glasgow Fiddle Workshop decided to offer classes in other instruments, I was invited to be the mandolin tutor. Thus began a happy association with a fantastic organisation. As senior tutor I had a lot to do with developing the classes, hiring tutors, building repertoire and creating the community which is the GFW (now Glasgow Folkmusic Workshop).
