The Gathering in Crieff
I describe The Gathering as "an awayday music-making experience." The aim is simple: to bring a bunch of lovely people together to meet and play music. It is usually held in the month of May in the small Perthshire town of Crieff from 10am-4.00pm. When you book for the day, the ticket comprises a tunebook, all the tunes in which will be played on the day.
The event is open to all instruments, and will include performances by individuals and groups, and often a special bus travelling from (and back to) Edinburgh.
If you have any doubt about whether it will suit you, don't! - it will! If you're still worried, get in touch with me, and I'll answer any specific questions (email me). A list of music which will definitely be played on the day is available before each Gathering (to see what we've played in previous meetings, check out the previous years - follow the links at the foot of this page.
