Music

The Maho Snaps refers to a bumpy stretch of road alongside Lough Erne, Co. Fermanagh. The tune was learned in Canada by fiddler Mick Hoy. It's actually a version of a Scottish jig, Dumfries House, composed by John Riddell (1718‑95), a blind fiddler from Ayrshire.

Cherish the Ladies is a standard Irish jig which I learned as a teenager.
