Thomas Leixlip the Proud

Thomas Leixlip the Proud
This set is part of the following collections:

Music

This air was attributed to O'Carolan in O'Neill’s Music of Ireland, but it's unlikely to be one of his compositions. Its actual name is Though Leixlip is Proud, used as a song in a 1780s ballad opera. It seems to have been first published in Scotland in 1773.
