Davidson, Billy
Singer/songwriter who toured in the 1970s and appeared on the television
series "A Better Class of Folk". He released an album in 1976,
On the Road (Lismore LILP5039).
Davidson, Dave
Singer from North Fife, led groups such as Kingdom Folk, Dingly Dell,
Top Flight and
The Jacobites. Died tragically in 1992.
Deep End
An Arbroath group of 1973, Deep End started life as The Keel Row.
The group comprised Jim Hutcheson, George Cant and John
Masterson. In c1974 the group appeared on Hughie Green's
Opportunity Knocks, and came second on the clapometer.
Duffus, Alan
Brother of comedian George Duffus, Alan was better known as a motorbike
racer. However, he was also known in the late 1960s as a folk singer in
folk clubs around his native Dundee. Occasionally accompanied by
John McLaggan on mandolin.

Drifterfolk
First appeared in 1969, and attained first place in the Renfrewshire
Music Festival three years in a row. They toured France, and were invited
to the L'Orient Festival. They made television appearances and
recorded at least two LPs in 1974 and 1976
(view their discography).
Durin's Bane
An Arbroath group from 1972, it comprised Danny Martin
(mandolin, guitar, tenor banjo, G banjo, fiddle; ex-Kishmul's
Plankton), Neil Ritchie (ex-Mixed
Herbs) and Terry Moug (fiddle, ex-Kingsley Mountain),
with occasional help from Kevin Moug and Stan Davidson.
They supported
Robin Hall & Jimmie Macgregor,
but split up the same year.
