For almost three decades I have run slow sessions in various locations. The Wednesday Slow Session was my first session, and it existed in five or six bars in Edinburgh over the years. During lockdown I created Gatherer's Inn, an imaginary bar in which I conducted an online session and, four years later, we're still there.

Each week we particularly concentrate on a specific tune, and then play through some of our regular slow session tunes, also available below. I realised some of the participants

preferred to know what we were doing in advance, so they can prepare by practising or listening, so that has been a feature of the session.
